The funds raised will support projects aimed at Bergamo and Brescia families in difficulty.

An outstanding testimonial, Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs, will officially kick off Light is Life on Friday 10 February at an impressive opening ceremony in Brescia’s Piazza Loggia.

“This is a land of champions, we never give up until we can make our dream come true.”

Art and light come together to create unique experiences

Monte Isola, the Third Paradise of Energy

In the spring of 2023, as a tribute to Brescia and Bergamo, Italian Capital of Culture 2023, Michelangelo Pistoletto and the Cittadellarte Foundation, thanks to the support of Fondazione Banco dell’Energia, will create the first “Third Paradise of Energy” installation, in Monte Isola, the heart of Lake Iseo that joins the two provinces.

Appreciating the mission of Fondazione Banco dell’Energia which, with projects such as “Energy in the Periphery”, aims to donate tangible help, education and awareness in terms of sustenance and energy saving to disadvantaged families, Maestro Michelangelo Pistoletto is designing a work capable of actively involving the communities in the area, as well as its users. Starting from the concepts and values of “network” and “connection”, in a liquid and ever-changing world, the importance of creating value networks, solidarity and all-round communities that contribute to the pursuit of harmony between Man and Nature, exalting Man as his own energy creator is recognised.
